This year we will again be offering TL training through Barakuda. Anyone interested in completing a diving instructor training course through the internationally recognized training organization Barakuda, or a crossover course, can do so with us. Instructor exam The instructor certification exam consists of two parts: a decentralized preparatory course led by an instructor trainer and a centralized instructor qualification exam. The reason for the centralized exam is the desire for standardized and improved quality assurance. Experience has shown that objectivity decreases when the instructor and examiner are the same person; therefore, the exam is administered by external examiners and course instructors.Instructor preparation courseThe preparation is conducted independently and decentrally by an instructor trainer after registration with BARAKUDA and includes all theoretical examinations. The exact timeframe is determined by the instructor trainer in consultation with the instructor candidates; however, the preparation must be completed within 6 months.To schedule an appointment, please contact info@cdc-giglio.de Instructor qualificationSeveral times a year, a central instructor qualification takes place, where examiners and members of the BARAKUDA teaching team (Course Instructors, CI) assess the instructor candidates. The exact examination content and duration of each examination are detailed in the corresponding instructor standards. Upon course registration, the Barakuda standards and training materials are provided.Dates will be announced before the boat show. Dates for the instructor qualification (the dates can also be used for a crossover to Barakuda)  Crossover for diving instructors from other diving associations A crossover allows instructors from any recognized diving organization to transfer to BARAKUDA or expand their training offerings. All qualifications and achievements are recognized, provided they are compatible with the BARAKUDA system. A crossover is only possible to Advanced Open Water Scuba Instructor or Master Instructor status. A crossover to Instructor Trainer status is by invitation only from BARAKUDA.The crossover can be done with us at any time. However, you should allow a week for it.More information to follow.

Nitrox Deco Diver (hot water)40m / 15 minutes bottom time at maximum depthRequirements- Minimum age 18 years- Valid medical certificate of fitness to dive- Minimum BARAKUDA AOWD or equivalent qualification We had a very positive experience with this course last year. Not only will you be able to conduct your dives more healthily and safely afterward, experiencing our dive sites more intensely, but we also observed a significant improvement in diving skills. Improvements were seen in buoyancy control, body position in the water, trim, finning techniques, perfect adherence to decompression stops, and learning how to deploy a surface marker buoy (which most participants struggled with). It offers a glimpse into technical diving, but it's just a brief introduction . Last year, several participants realized that their diving skills weren't as good as they thought and left the course significantly improved.Nevertheless, after this course ONLY dives under sea conditions (warm water) are permitted. Drysuit diving coursesFor some, the Mediterranean Sea is too cold at 14 degrees Celsius between February and May. With a drysuit, that would be different.
