Diving training
Our training system

Training framework
Training at the CDC follows the Barakuda guidelines. Further information about Barakuda can be found on the following website: www.barakuda-ids.de
All our courses are now taught exclusively according to Barakuda standards!
All courses where a diving cylinder is used are only possible from the age of 14.
This also includes introductory scuba diving!
Important prerequisites
For all courses, diving students should possess the following:
Must be at least 14 years old!
Diving medical certificate (up to age 40, max. 2 years old; from age 40, max. 1 year old)
We need at least 1 week for the Open Water Diver course.
A photocopy of your identity card.
The desire and enjoyment of learning to dive
Furthermore, we would like to point out that these courses are diving TRAINING courses; the course fee does not purchase a diving certificate! The student only receives their certification upon successful completion of the exam.

Sequence
To give you an idea of what to expect during your training, we'd like to provide an overview of the structure and content of a full diving certification (OWD, Bronze, One-Star). Finally, a few general remarks. If you have any further questions, please contact us by email: Info-Mail
General remarks
The Open Water Diver course consists of a theory and a practical component. Passing the exams in both areas is required to obtain the diving certification. The course typically takes 6 to 7 days. Shorter course durations are possible for smaller groups and favorable weather conditions. Please contact us in advance to discuss this.
The following is very important to us
Getting your diving certification requires a significant time commitment from the student, both for learning the theory and practicing the techniques. In our experience, attempting to "just squeeze it in" during your vacation is very stressful and frustrating for both students and instructors. Please keep this in mind when planning your trip!
Practical part
The training consists of five shore dives and two boat dives. Normally, one dive is completed per day, with a maximum of two dives in emergencies. This is usually sufficient for beginner divers.
